Meet the Principal, Miss Carys...

Miss Carys

Miss Carys trained at the Legat School of Classical Ballet, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, and London Theatre School, gaining a solid foundation in classical technique and stage performance. As a Royal Ballet Junior Associate and a student of Sylvia Young Theatre School & Agency, she appeared in West End productions, television series, and national campaigns, discovering her lifelong passion for the stage.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, she holds qualifications with the ISTD, Victoria College of Music, and Acrobatic Arts. Known for her dedication to nurturing dancers, she specialises in choreographing narrative character’s, ballet and musical theatre daces, creating award-winning work for the Dance World Cup, All England Dance Finals, and other major events — both for her own students and schools across the region.

In 2023, Miss Carys became Principal of Cliffe Academy of Performing Arts – now The Performance Hub – bringing fresh energy, vision, and opportunity to the school. She continues to inspire the next generation of dancers with her professional expertise, creative approach, and commitment to developing confident, versatile performers.
